In My Opinion...Top 5 Underrated Flicks That Everyone Should See!

1. THE PRINCESS BRIDE (1987, Rob Reiner) - "The Princess Bride" is fairly popular, but not seen enough by "today's" generation. It's the fantastic, magic tale of a stable boy named Wesley (Cary Ewes) who became the long lost of love of a girl named Buttercup (Robin Wright Penn), who comes back for his bride when she's already engaged to an ugly prince. As he tries to win her back, the film is filled with great artistic sets and costumes and the fairy tale is twisted with humor and a wonderful storyline. It's must see! It's a fairytale for people who don't like fairytales!

2. HELLO, DOLLY! (1969, Gene Kelly) - The movie is a spectacular, extraordinary musical comedy about a matchmaker named Dolly Levi (Barbra Streisand) who has decided to match the ugly, grumpy old Horace (Walter Mathau) to, well-- HERSELF! Even though the movie manged to get a Best Picture nomination in 1969, the bashing from the small crowd of people who watched it today is not deserved and unappreciated. The film is filled with glorious techs and some wonderful and truly catchy songs like "Put On Your Sunday Clothes", "Dancing", "When the Parade Passes By" and off course the title tune, "Hello, Dolly!".

3. TO WONG FOO, THANKS FOR EVERYTHING! JULE NEWMAR (1995, Beenban Kidron) - Maybe its weird for some people to watch this, but "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar" is one of the funniest comedies you'll ever see in your life. It's the story of 3 Drag Queens on their way to California to join the DRAG QUEEN OF THE YEAR Pageant while being guided by the gay icon Julie Newmar who played Catwoman in the 1960's Batman shows. "To Wong Foo" is filled with hilarious laughs and a stupendous performance by John Leguizamo as Chi-Chi Rodriquez.

4. CLUE (1985, Jonathan Lynn) - One clever adaptation of the naughty Board Game, "Clue" comes to real life as a Mystery movie when a couple of very rich socialites get stuck in a mansion with a mysterious butler named Wadsworth (Tim Curry, of "Rocky Horror" fame) to uncover who killed 5 unknown people. The film is full of twists and turn, and believe me, if you keep an open mind, "Clue" will end up being one of the best 94 minutes of your Movie Life!

5. EASTER PARADE (1948, Charles Walters) - A less glamorous musical, "Easter Parade" gives us a delightful look at a vaudeville act transforming into a knock-out show from one Easter Sunday to another. This is possibly ONE of the best films of both song-and-dance people Judy Garland (her greatest performance is in 1954's "A Star is Born") and Fred Astaire who fall in love in the film as Dance Partners! The movie is not at all dragging and is a very suitable Holiday picture! Watch it!
